In 1897, he joined Mr. Veverka's workshop in Český Brod, where he also got married a year later.From 1904, he served as a controller in the district sickness insurance company in Český Brod,where he worked his way up to a senior official years later. An important milestone in his life wasMarch 6, 1930, when František Macháček, as a member of the delegation, had the honor of visiting Prague Castle and congratulating the then president T.G. Masaryk on his 80th birthday.
