Lipan Battle Monument

Distance from Český Brod: 10 km

The fate of the Hussite troops was sealed by the Battle of Lipan, in which they, led by Prokop Holý, stood against the troops of the lord's unity. Even for Prokop Holý himself, the battle became fatal, because he fell in it on 30 May 1434.

Since 1881, the symbol of the battle has been the Lipanská mohyla, which stands on the battlefield and is publicly accessible to all visitors.
