Šatlava gallery

History

First city prison was used since 1628 and it was in first floor. This place has been used as a city prison since 1850. In old town hall a district court was established, so it was necessary to have a prison. The roundhouse had 4 cells that had small windows and double oak doors. The last ones, who were imprisoned here were opponents of communism, who didn't want to give their lands to state.

In 1998 was whole gallery reconstructed and nowadays is this area used as exhibition space.
